About the Artist
Born and raised in New Orleans, the artist’s creative vision was shaped by a city where fantasy and darkness have always existed side by side. From the extravagant colors, theatrical spectacle, and playful whimsy of Mardi Gras to the shadowy beauty of Gothic architecture, centuries-old cemeteries, folklore, and mystery, New Orleans provided an extraordinary backdrop for a lifelong imagination.
An artist for as long as he can remember, he was drawn early to the idea of creating worlds rather than simply creating objects. His work has always carried a sense of theater—colorful, dramatic, slightly twisted, and often touched by the macabre.
In his late twenties, he left New Orleans for Las Vegas, where he attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to pursue an MFA in Scenic Design. The move placed him in another city built on spectacle and imagination, allowing him to transform his artistic instincts into a career designing immersive environments and memorable visual experiences.
Over the past twenty years, he has worked throughout the themed entertainment and corporate design industries, contributing his creativity to a diverse range of dynamic projects for internationally recognized names including Gladys Knight, Oprah Winfrey, Godiva Chocolate, Alienware, and Coca-Cola. His professional career has allowed him to combine fine-art sensibilities with scenic design, dimensional fabrication, storytelling, and the challenge of turning an idea on paper into something people can physically experience.
More recently, that experience has found its way into a more personal—and considerably darker—creative pursuit: designing and sculpting original Halloween and horror décor.
What began as creating pieces for his own enjoyment quickly evolved into designing work for commercial sale. Drawing upon a lifelong fascination with Halloween, horror, theatrical environments, and the wonderfully strange, he approaches each creation as more than decoration. Every character is given its own personality, expression, and story, balancing humor and whimsy with just enough darkness to make it unsettling.
At the heart of his work is an obsessive attention to detail. A devout perfectionist, lifelong dreamer, and theatrical thinker, he is rarely satisfied with simply making something that looks good. It has to feel alive. It has to have character. And, whenever possible, it should make you smile before making you wonder whether you should be slightly afraid of it.
His work is ultimately a reflection of the two worlds that have shaped him: the colorful theatrical fantasy of New Orleans and the larger-than-life spectacle of Las Vegas. Somewhere between Mardi Gras and the macabre, between whimsy and horror, and between imagination and craftsmanship is where he feels most at home.
After all, some of the most interesting things are created when you aren't quite sure whether to laugh at them—or run from them.
